NOTES: This individual appears to have an extant footstone associated with the SHEATHER family plot. Judith Dunn notes in her book of epitaph transcriptions (1991) that there is an “S.S 1857” “placed in front of the Sheather headstone that appears not to belong,” as it does not correlate with the other marked burials inscribed on the headstone. The “1857” transcription is erroneous, as it should be “S.S. 1855.”
