Burial Location
Buried in an unmarked grave, exact location unknown.
Notes
Irving appears to have been interred at Sydney, in which case he would be among those who were registered in the parish of St. John’s, Parramatta, despite being buried elsewhere. See Dr. Cameron-Smith’s biography at the link below for a discussion about a transcription of the John Irving headstone that H. W. H. Huntington claimed once stood in the demolished Old Sydney Burial Ground. Thanks to researcher Cathy Dunn for sharing the discovery of Irving’s recorded epitaph in Huntington’s unpublished manuscript held at the National Library of Australia.
